Intelligence systems shape how people understand themselves and one another. That responsibility is central to how GravityPullIndex, Inc. operates. This page describes the principles that guide our work.
Human agency
Our systems are built to inform understanding, not to decide for people. Human judgment remains central to how our intelligence should be interpreted and applied. We design for tools that support people, not replace their judgment.
Explainability
Intelligence should not simply produce an answer — it should help people understand why that answer exists. We approach this through the concept of an Evidence Chain, a structured way of tracing how signals and context combine into an outcome.
Model limitations
Artificial intelligence and intelligence outputs may be probabilistic or imperfect. They should not be treated as infallible, final, or as a substitute for professional judgment. Outputs can be incomplete, context-dependent, or subject to change as systems improve.
Avoiding overreliance
We design against overreliance on automated outputs. Intelligence should be one input among many, considered alongside context, experience and human reasoning. We encourage users to question, contextualize, and verify rather than accept outputs uncritically.
Appropriate human judgment
Decisions that significantly affect people should involve appropriate human judgment. Our systems are intended to support reflection and understanding, not to make consequential decisions on a person's behalf.
Privacy
We design for the minimum data necessary and treat responsible handling of data as a prerequisite, not an option. Our privacy commitments are described in our Privacy Policy.
Responsible deployment
We consider the context in which our systems are used and aim to deploy them where they support understanding rather than harm. We continue to evaluate appropriate use as our products mature.
Iterative improvement
Responsible intelligence is not a finished state. We expect our principles, evaluations and safeguards to evolve as our systems and their applications develop.
Accountability
We are accountable for the systems we build. We welcome scrutiny, feedback and responsible reporting, and we aim to respond thoughtfully as our practices mature.
